What is TransFormal?

TransFormal is a long weekend celebration of Gender Diversity. Over the past 7 years the event has established itself as a unmissable experience with guests booking rooms up to a year in advance.

Where is it held?

TransFormal is held each year in a herritage hotel in the heart of the Blue Mountains. Surrounded by stunning scenery, Art Deco elegance, and eclectic shops, the environment is relaxing or stimulating depending on your mood.

Why is it formal?

The centre piece of TransFormal is a formal dinner/dance on the Saturday night. Held in the heritage 1886 Grand Dining Room the formal includes a 3 course meal, dancing to a live band, and lots of opportunities to socialise.

What happens?

Each TransFormal is a unique blend of celebration, networking, socialising and education. Come for the full weekend and take your choice of activities. In past years Transformal has included:
  • Golf
  • Wine appreciation
  • Supper reception
  • Formal dinner
  • Workshops
  • Shopping
  • Eating out
  • Sightseeing
  • Competitions
  • High Tea

Who can attend?

TransFormal is a GBLTI family friendly event. We encourage all those who are gender diverse to attend (no matter where they are on the gender spectrum), together with their friends, family and supporters.
