Sister Assist!

those who need assistance

Each year, TransFormal aims to offer a number of SisterAssist tickets as a way to help the community.
SisterAssist makes it possible for some to attend TransFormal who couldn't otherwise afford to come.
We believe that attending TransFormal is a benefit that should be accessible to as many in the community as possible.
The SisterAssist package for TransFormal 2012 will include:
- one ticket to the Saturday formal dinner/dance
- single accommodation for Friday and Saturday night in the Carrington Hotel (Twin Traditional Room on a twin share basis). Click for more details on this accommodation.
- breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning.
SISTER ASSIST IS CLOSED FOR 2012
SisterAssist recipients will be responsible for their own transportation to and from Katoomba.

The SisterAssist program each year is funded primarily from cancellations the previous year.
TransFormal does not offer ticket refunds if you cancel, but we ensure that the funds go to a good cause.
So if you aren't going to be able to use the ticket you bought please let us know in good time.
We would love to provide more assisted places at TransFormal so If you feel you could sponsor a SisterAssist Package please contact Amanda.

Eligibility Requirements

Minimum age of 18

Demonstration of financial need

Must be willing to participate in and contribute time to helping during the weekend.

Payment in full ($90) within two weeks of notification.
Note that payments to TransFormal are not refundable in the event of the attendee cancelling

How SisterAssist works

Following the submission deadline, all submissions will be evaluated anonymously by a selection panel whose members have no personal knowledge of the applicants.

The SisterAssist packages will be awarded to the candidates who, in the judgment of the panel, most convincingly demonstrate their financial need and desire to attend TransFormal

Priority will be given to applicants who have not previously received a SisterAssist package.

Selected SisterAssist recipients must pay in full for the package within 2 weeks or risk forfeiture of the package

Your application must be received to either of the addresses below no later than the stated submission deadline

All SisterAssist recipients will be expected to be enthusiastic volunteers during the Weekend

All applications and their results are confidential, though TransFormal reserves the right to anonymously reproduce parts or all of the letter.
